Every year, local residents throughout the Netherlands go on vacation in their own park. For three days, the park becomes a cozy campsite, inhabited by all the people the neighborhood has to offer: from yuppies to the homeless, from wallflowers to extroverts, and from infants to seniors. By setting up the campsite together or attending workshop together, you get to know each other better. You spend the whole day enjoying the outdoors, and everyone is equal. After all, with that roll of toilet paper under our arm, we all look equally silly. The Neighborhood Campsite creates wonderful encounters and contributes to a sense of community.
