Sangre de Muerdago
“The key that opens the chest, lies inside the chest itself.”
Sangre de Muerdago, one of the most captivating voices in contemporary European folk, weaves together Galician tradition, intimate storytelling, and spellbinding acoustic textures, inviting listeners on a journey that is at once timeless and utterly fresh. They released a brand-new album, O Xardín (The Garden), in September. This is a chance to experience this magic in a small, intimate setting in Nijmegen.
Supporting the evening is Sous w Nokta (“on the edge”), a Lebanese/Dutch duo creating original folk/indie songs in the Lebanese dialect. With two acoustic guitars, they craft a rich emotional palette that ranges from joyful brightness to tender melancholy. Their poetic and often humorous lyrics explore human relationships, emotions, and cultural traditions.
