How can degrowth support the circular economy?
By now we all know that there is no such thing as infinite growth on a finite planet. According to many, instead of green or sustainable growth, a more radical approach such as degrowth is what the economy needs. But what is degrowth? What does it mean for our society, jobs, health, cities and nature? How do we put this concept into practice? What examples of degrowth are already here, that we can learn from?
In this interactive lunch talk scientist Ana Poças, Catarina Moiteiro das Neves en Joost Wijfels introduce you to the world of degrowth. After an inspiring introduction, we will host a ‘citizen assembly’ where we play with the concept and come up with ideas, practices and solutions to current problems. You’ll gain new knowledge and inspiration on how degrowth can support the development, and (yes, even) growth of our circular economy.
