Chupame El Dedo (suck my finger), is a collaboration between the Colombian bands Meridian Brothers and Romperayo, or to be more precise, between Eblis Alvarez and Pedro Ojeda respectively. It was created for a one off live performance commissioned by the House of World Cultures in Berlin, for the Festival “Evil Music” in October 2013.
Because of the success the band still exists today. The first album was released in 2016 on Discrepant Records. Weird distorted voices, rock and electronics are mixed with a tropical rhythm section made of salsa, cumbia, currulao & reggaeton. Second album :No Te Metas Con Satan" dates from 2019. Chupame El Dedo is in Europe for their show at the LeGuessWho festival.
Expect tropical disoriented madness, stylistic dislocation and curious sounds. Head banging mojitos!
PLEASE NOTE: Sickhouse is located on the top floor of WARP Technopolis/Spacebar at Stationsplein in Enschede. The main entrance of the building (right next to spacebar) will be open for you.
