On the 30th of October ALASKA POLLOCK will release it’s new EP 'Descent' at OT-301, Amsterdam.
ALASKA POLLOCK, the second self of Amsterdam-based singer/producer/multi-instrumentalist Jelte de Vries, combines synthesizers, electric guitar, drum machines and lush vocals to create strong, atmospheric electro-pop. Inspired by Flume's future bass-sounds, Jack Garratt's songwriting and John Mayer's blues, ALASKA POLLOCK paints his own intriguing sonic landscape.
With his new EP 'Descent', ALASKA POLLOCK veers to more down-to-earth pop songs, while retaining the fresh, atmospheric textures he is known for. The new music comes with a new live band in which Jelte is accompanied by the earth shattering beats of Rogier van Roosmalen and the gnarly, yet groovy bass lines of Tommy Veenstra.
PHRAME infuses catchy vocals with analogue live synths and a hint of 80’s nostalgia,
drawing influences from Jaimie Woon, Daft Punk and 21 Pilots.
