ACU Indie Folk Night with Immen + Sophie Janna
Indie folk artist Immen writes melancholy ambient songs guided by intuition and heartache. Her captivating, warm voice creates an intimate ambiance with a touch of darkness. While the majority of her songs are in English, she occasionally sings in her native Frisian, adding a sense of both groundedness and otherworldliness to her music.
Sophie Janna toured the world with folk duo The Lasses before sharing her own songs on the stage. Inspired by the Irish ballads she sang for years, Sophie Janna writes disarmingly vulnerable songs about being a soft human in a world made of concrete. The release of debut EP Wide World (2021) saw her play at Roots of Heaven and Rambling Roots, as well as support shows for Jeffrey Martin, Lisa Hannigan and Florist. Sophie Janna is currently working on her first full length album of original songs.
