In this English spoken presentation Prof. Dr. Emilie Sitzia focuses on identifying the reasons behind such a misunderstanding. She explores issues related to the words we use when talking about illustration, matters related to illustration’s interdisciplinary and the complicated relationship illustration has with (art) history, Moreover she talks about concerns related to the research and teaching of illustration. She wants to examine why it is important (and possible) to talk seriously about illustration today.
